We chose Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peel as an Organization of choice as we believe that every child deserves a consistent and stable individual in their life to help them along. These children typically are in a stressful living situation and need and deserve a consistent role model.

By spending just a few hours each week with a child, they exhibit increased confidence, improved social skills and improved relationships with family and peers. And what the Big Brothers and Sisters get back from the children is priceless.

I also have a Brother that was a Big Brother and he mentored a child and they remained friends up until my brothers passing. I know the difference my brother made in this boy’s life and the lasting impression an adult makes is engrained in that child when they grow up. We can all make a difference. One child at a time!
