This week I thought I would write what I call a Female Friendly Blog. Did you know that over 60% of our Mississauga Toyota followers on Facebook are Female? I love that statistic! How many of you have walked into a dealership or any retail outlet for that matter and felt as though you don't really matter? You would think that in this day and age, we are just as important as our male counterparts! And yet some places of business don't get that. I know that on the whole, most businesses understand that we are a customer, but what they don't really grasp as of yet is that women influence over 90% of all purchasing decisions. Whether we are single, in a relationship, married, etc., we have the largest say when it comes to all purchases today. Listen, I like to "Window Shop" with the best of them, but the majority of the time when I walk into a retail outlet, I have walked in with something in mind that I would like to purchase. All of our lives are busy, we as women multitask and we have little time to just browse. So treat me with respect, answer my questions and let's figure out if you can offer what I want. And know that I should be taken seriously. I am sure that most women have had an experience in a car dealership where they did not feel that they were taken seriously. And I can say that as I run a dealership and have been in this world for a long time. Our industry has come a long way and we still have a lot to learn. Being a female in this business and trust me, I am so not technical; I just want to be treated like a human being. My reasons for wanting a product are definitely different than that of a man's reasons. So understand me! Is that too much to ask? Susan Gubasta President/CEO
