It is December 4th and we are all getting ready for this holiday season. We are focused on the shopping lists and the "to do" lists. I am no different; I spent the weekend in the mall!

Now that I am done shopping, I will focus on the "to do" list. You know the one, decorate the house, clean the house, entertain, and re-clean the house.

Don't get me wrong Christmas is my favorite time of year and tonight I was reminded why.

The rain has turned to snow (the first of the year) and I decided to enjoy it. I bundled up the dog (yes the dog) and myself and headed outside. The ground was a covered in a clean crisp layer of white, and I could smell the wood burning fireplaces from the neighbors. The streets were glowing from the Christmas light displays and I was the only one out and about.

It was the perfect evening to remember the simple things about the holiday season.
