The Buzz About Connected Services
If you have purchased a vehicle recently or have been in the research phase of buying a car, you have most likely come across topics such as Connected Services, Apple Car Play or Android Auto.
These are services that may seem daunting at first but are really created to allow driver’s to simplify their vehicle experience. Features like Toyota’s Connected Services can allow you to remotely connect to your vehicle and control some areas of the car using the Toyota App.
Connected services allows the driver to use some cool features using your smart phone such as:
- Checking your vehicle’s location
- Checking the mileage and fuel levels
- Locking and unlocking doors remotely
- Starting the car remotely
Connected Services has a whole suite of features. They include:
- Service Connect – allows you to receive warning light notifications, health reports and ensures your vehicle remains in the best state.
- Safety Connect – includes: an emergency SOS button, stolen vehicle locator, enhanced roadside assistance and automatic collision notification.
- Drive Connect – includes an intelligent assistance and destination assist.
- Destination Assist – access to a live agent to help with navigation.
- SiriusXM Radio
- Digital Key – allows your phone to be used as the key fob.
